Now you see, as someone who doesn't even have a license yet (one more month from today), i have no shame in saying that my answer is the US neutered E36 M3 coupe with a cat back, chip, and cold air intake, so probalby 230rwhp. I've driven hundreds of miles in it and only nearly destroyed it once, it the rain haha
Actual car pictured in one of my favorite pictures ive ever taken (so long ago that the house its in front of now has people living in it)
What say you oppo!?

It was probably the Porsche 911 Turbo I drove in 2002. It was a nearly new 996 model with 6,000 miles. When I hit the gas in first gear it was as if God himself kicked the back bumper. It pulled hard in heavy rain but stayed as stable as could be.

Powerful in terms of actual hp, or power:weight? Because I've driven a Ford Club Wagon that had a 460, thus ~250hp/400 torques, but not great p/w.
Wait, no, I've driven an Excursion a little bit. 310/425.

Does semi trucks/tractors count? If so, the most powerfull "car" I've driven would be the Scania R730 (730PS and 3500 NM/720HP and 2582 ft lb)
If not, It must be a friend of mines higly tuned Escort Cosworth. (750HP and god knows how much torque.)

Most powerful car I've driven is a C6 Corvette convertible (with stick shift amazingly!). Special mention to a Ford E350 chassis with a power stroke in it. Without any weight on the back, that thing was great fun. And a bit rough riding. So much torque!

2012 Ford Mustang Boss 302 445HP/380lbs tq. Drove it on a 45ish degree day and I didn't give the tires a proper warm up so when I was on the entrance ramp to the highway I kicked her down and it got sideways on me. I almost shipped my pants!

Jaguar XFR.
That thing had the worst feedback and aggressive traction control. You could not at any time tell what the front or rear tires were doing. This combined with the TC and huge torque made it a terrible driving experience. I would go into a corner, could not tell if I had grip or not, and then the TC would cut power when I dialed in too much steering angle for the computers liking. Then as you unwound the steering, power would come surging back, all without having changed throttle position at all.
The car was very fast in the hands of the Jag teams professional drivers, but damn that thing was impossible (in a short time) to actually learn to drive.

F40. Although it doesn't really count, because I was about ten years old, and was only in first gear driving round a field.
Other than that, I'm not sure. Probably something boring like an old employer's Landcruiser. Loads of power, but hauling a mountain around so not much performance. All the more interesting and faster cars I've driven have been relatively low-powered and lightweight. (Not relative to a Landcruiser, because everything's lightweight compared to that. Relative to normal fast cars.) Even a Porsche 964 only had 250 bhp.
The most powerful vehicle I've driven, though, is a ~2000hp boat.

My first car also. a 2002 camaro z28 that I slowly built up. SLP loudmouth exhuast, SLP smooth air bellow, then new airbox, then long tube headers, then a diablosport tuner. Wish I knew what it's actual output was at the end. Had it until a few months ago, where it was still stuck back at home after two moves, and my mom had enough and sold it......sad time.

I still wonder about that myself. I guess it's what happens when your uncle takes you to a Ferrari club meeting in a very nice classic Ferrari. I don't know, maybe the F40 was one of his friends' cars or something. Anyway, there was nothing for me to hit, and I don't think I could even reach far enough to push the accelerator all the way down. Plus, it was the early nineties, when Ferrari values were at an all time low. It was hardly a cheap car, but it's not like I was given a go in a 250 GTO or something.
To be honest it could have been a VW Golf diesel or a go-kart for all the difference it would have made to me at the time. I loved driving anything motorised. But it makes for a cool story now to say that the first car I drove was an F40, and it's all been downhill from there :)

Weights about a tonne, and accelerates well. However the steering is shit, for some reason. Going against my word before (since you do seem hellbent on knowing what it is) I'll say it's a Skoda Fabia with a 5-speed manual. Also I was wrong, it makes 70 HP.

Well this is genuinely upsetting…..a Kia Sorento with what I think was a 3.5L V6 that made around 280hp…..surprisingly quick, yes, but still awful.
I worked for a shithole Kia dealer briefly, and had to take the shuttles to get gas. A couple were Sorentos. Everyone hated the management there, so I was showed the "proper" way to drive a company car to get gas…..let's just say it was done…spiritedly. That was a weird job haha

A 348 TB with 300bhp. Awesome, because Ferrari. But also slightly disappointing: it was a 1 hour rent-a-drive, and the Ferrari's minder had seen me arrive in my Miata. So he warned me at the first roundabout we came across to "take it slower than you're used to". At "slow" speeds, there's no downforce, so either do the roundabout at 100kph (for which I don't have the talent), or slooowly at about 30kph. By comparison, I had just done it at 80kph in the Miata. Much easier to throw about than the older Ferraris :D
By comparison, I get a lot more out of my current '05 Boxster than either the Miata or the 348. Even though it's "only" 245bhp.
